Australian investment firm Betashares has launched bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), providing investors with a regulated and accessible way to gain exposure to digital assets. Developed in partnership with crypto index fund manager Bitwise, the ETFs have a 0.45% annual management fee. Betashares CEO Alex Vynokur stated that the new ETFs offer a simplified alternative to direct crypto ownership and cater to increasing global investor demand for digital assets. The launch aligns with the growing adoption of bitcoin ETFs globally and the expanding role of ether in decentralized finance (DeFi).
