Blockchain.com is facing prosecution for not filing current accounts, with the case being heard in court. Failure to file accounts can result in an unlimited fine in the UK. The company's president and operations executive were issued a summons for this failure in May. The cryptocurrency wallet provider has had a significant reduction in its workforce, laying off 150 people in July 2022 and another 110 people in January 2023. The company states that it has sorted the necessary documents for the administrative matter and is confident the case will be closed quickly.
