Digital asset investment fund Maelstrom, managed by BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes, has allocated 5% of its funds to staked USDe stablecoin ahead of the US elections. The fund plans to rotate this money into cryptocurrencies once the election results are clear and the losing side accepts defeat. Hayes believes that the outcome of the election will not significantly impact Bitcoin's bullish prospects, as both candidates are expected to implement expansionary monetary policies. However, Hayes warned that potential social unrest and an escalation of war in the Middle East or Ukraine could cause short-term volatility in risk assets.
