Crypto exchange Bitrue has obtained approval to operate as a Virtual Asset Service Provider in Lithuania. The approval allows Bitrue's Lithuanian branch to provide crypto exchange and custody wallet services. The registration was granted by Lithuania's Financial Crime Investigation Service, demonstrating Bitrue's commitment to regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering standards. Bitrue plans to pursue the Markets in Crypto-Assets Crypto-Asset Service Provider license to expand its services across the European Union. This comes as Lithuania plans a regulatory overhaul to decrease the presence of crypto firms in the country due to perceived failures and embezzlement cases in the industry.
