Aave and zkSync, two of the leading projects in the DeFi world recently introduced the Temperature Check Vote for deploying Aave V3 on zkSync Era Mainnet. The main purpose of this vote was to let the Aave community decide on their next steps in the DeFi universe.

The proposal to deploy Aave V3 on zkSync Era was backed by the Aave community and was successful in the temperature check vote with a support rate of over 99.78%. As Era includes essential EVM features, deploying Aave V3 on zkSync Era could mean an opportunity for Aave and zkSync communities to collaborate and expand. It could simplify the deployment process and require less developer labor.

Furthermore, the successful launching of Aave V3 on zkSync Era could generate tremendous advantages for both communities. On one hand, it could help widen and amplify the DeFi alternatives accessible to users by bringing more customers to DeFi and thus strengthen Aave’s role as a leading lending platform. On the other hand, having a top-tier DeFi project such as Aave on the zkSync platform might be beneficial to the platform’s growth in the DeFi ecosystem.

Besides zkSync, the “deploying Aave V3 to StarkNet” proposal also managed to pass the temperature check vote with a support rate of 99.98%. That also means that Aave V3 is officially supported to launch on Starknet too. Moreover, BNB Chain is also set to become one of the destinations supported by the Aave community.

The Temperature Check Vote is followed by the ARFC stage for further debate, risk-parameter evaluation, and network analysis. Then, the AIP for finalizing the proposal is sent for an on-chain governance vote before the deployment process is started.

In conclusion, the successful Temperature Check Vote has opened up a new page in the joint Aave and zkSync story. If all processes go as planned, both communities are likely to benefit from the mutual collaboration, leading them to new heights in the continuously expanding DeFi universe.
