CandleFocus Ripple CTO Refers to Kamala Harris Pro-Crypto Policy Statement as Positive News

Ripple CTO David Schwartz cautiously welcomes U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris' promises to establish rules for crypto protection, despite skepticism from the XRP community. Harris' support for the black community includes protecting the crypto industry, as 20% of black Americans have had dealings with cryptocurrencies. Some XRP community members believe Harris' promises are empty and doubt she will implement favorable crypto policies if elected. Schwartz believes Harris' statement is a step in the right direction but expects more specific policies to be outlined. Harris has not disclosed how she plans to support the crypto sector if she becomes president. Despite this, she has gained support from notable crypto figures, including Ripple Chairman Chris Larsen who donated $1 million worth of XRP to a super PAC supporting Harris' campaign.
