Bitcoin ATM operator Byte Federal hit by data breach, 58,000 exposed

Hackers have breached the personal data of 58,000 customers of Bitcoin ATM operator Byte Federal. The breach occurred on September 30 and was caused by a vulnerability in third-party project management software. The compromised data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, government-issued IDs, and more. While no funds were stolen, Byte Federal has advised customers to reset their login credentials. The company is working with a cybersecurity team to determine the cause of the breach.
