Swiss policymaker Samuel Kullmann has secured a majority vote for a Bitcoin mining study aimed at optimizing local power infrastructure. The study will explore how Bitcoin mining can stabilize the Swiss energy grid and make use of otherwise wasted energy. The proposal passed with an 85:46 vote in Switzerland's Parliament. This policy comes as Switzerland has shown significant interest in Bitcoin, evidenced by the high search volume for BTC halving in the country. BTC policy has been accelerating worldwide, with lawmakers in the US, Brazil, and Vancouver proposing strategic national BTC reserves and diversifying investments with Bitcoin holdings.
