MetaMask has announced the addition of a fiat on-ramp feature through Venmo, allowing US users to buy crypto using the payment app. Moonpay, a crypto-focused fintech, facilitated this new payment method. While the MetaMask fiat-to-crypto option is available in 200 countries, the Venmo partnership is limited to US users. MetaMask has been expanding its payment options, including support for Apple Pay, debit and credit cards, PayPal, wire transfer, and ACH bank transactions. They have also partnered with other companies such as Transak, Stripe, Sardine, and Banxa. In addition, MetaMask launched the MetaMask Card in partnership with Mastercard and Crypto Life, allowing users to spend balances in select cryptocurrencies at vendors accepting Mastercard. The card is currently in its pilot phase and available only in Europe and the UK, with support from Apple Pay and Google Pay.
