Jake Chervinsky, a lawyer and chief legal officer at Variant, believes that simply having a strategic Bitcoin reserve and digital asset stockpile is not enough for the United States to become the crypto capital of the world. Chervinsky argues that the country needs new policies that empower entrepreneurs to launch protocols and products, support business development, and provide clear and durable regulations. Despite President Donald Trump's executive order on a strategic Bitcoin reserve, Chervinsky believes that more can be done, including addressing issues such as crypto debanking, regulatory clarity, and prioritizing stablecoin legislation, market structure legislation, securities safe harbor, banking access, and non-custodial software development.
