ETF issuers are continuing to propose new products that would hold various cryptocurrencies, including solana (SOL), XRP, litecoin (LTC), and dogecoin (DOGE). Bitwise has filed for an ETF that would hold Aptos (APT), a layer-1 blockchain developed by Meta's Diem blockchain engineers. Canary Capital has planned an ETF focused on Axelar (AXL), a blockchain network that offers interoperability and digital asset tokenization. Both APT and AXL have smaller market caps compared to the mentioned cryptocurrencies. The CEO of Canary praised the impressive development team behind Axelar. Bitwise and Canary also have filings for ETFs holding other cryptocurrencies. Some investors may prefer crypto index funds instead of single-asset ETFs. It is expected that only two or three new crypto ETFs will launch in the first half of the year, with a focus on identifying rising stars for future offerings.
