Starknet, a layer-2 solution for Ethereum, is introducing its first application-chain called Nums. Nums is an on-chain game that allows players to sequence a series of 20 generated numbers and earn $NUMS tokens. The game is built on the SN Stack, a customizable toolkit provided by Starknet that allows developers to create layer-3 blockchains. The decision to build on Starknet's technology was driven by its ability to support computationally complex and ambitious applications. Starknet, which uses the programming language Cairo, offers a more expressive environment compared to Ethereum's Solidity language. Cartridge, the main developer firm behind Nums, is one of the core teams building on Starknet and previously released the Dojo framework for building games and applications on the network.
