El Salvador has resumed its Bitcoin purchasing strategy, buying 7 Bitcoin worth $661,000. The country now holds a total of 6,088 Bitcoin, valued at $558 million. This comes after a pause in buying due to an agreement with the IMF, which required modifications to its Bitcoin policies. Despite speculation that the IMF deal would impact its strategy, El Salvador remains committed to Bitcoin. The purchase was made when Bitcoin's price dropped below $95,000, triggering significant liquidations across crypto platforms. At the time of writing, BTC is trading at around $92,000, down 4% in the last 24 hours.
