The Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, has expressed concern over the threat posed by cryptocurrencies, drones, and the dark web to countries globally. Speaking at a conference on drug trafficking and national security, Shah stressed the need for strict measures to combat these challenges. He highlighted that while the Indian government has taken action against drug rings, there are still challenges to be addressed. Shah called for joint efforts from states and central governments, along with the involvement of technocrats, to find solutions. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in the fight against drugs and discussed the increased seizure of drugs in recent years. The conference, organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau, aims to tackle drug trafficking and its impact on national security, as it is often linked to terrorism. Shah also launched a portal to apprehend fleeing criminals, and he mentioned the use of cryptocurrencies in illegal activities, including drug trafficking and terrorism financing.
