BBVA, a multinational banking giant, has started offering Circle's USDC stablecoin to its clients through its Swiss arm. Clients in Switzerland can now manage USDC alongside traditional investments, allowing for faster transactions. The addition of USDC aims to improve efficiency for institutional clients, particularly investment fund managers who use stablecoins to trade cryptocurrencies. BBVA will analyze client needs to expand its offering further. It is uncertain if BBVA supports USDC on all networks. The move aligns with BBVA's migration to the Harmonize platform and its availability through the Turkish subsidiary, Garanti BBVA Digital Assets.
