On March 24, 2023, the coreum blockchain project successfully achieved a major milestone with the launch of its mainnet and an airdrop campaign. In addition to distributing 100,000,000 CORE tokens to Coreum holders, a total of 50,000,000 xCORE tokens were allocated as an airdrop for SOLO and XRP holders. The snapshot of this airdrop was recorded at block number 78622623 at 4:00 am UTC, showing combined XRP, SOLO, and Coreum holdings of 90,727,449, 200,426,027 and 10,026,278.423 respectively.

In the first round of airdrop distribution, Coreum holders have already begun receiving their tokens. However, the airdrop of xCORE to SOLO and XRP holders is scheduled to take place on May 15, 2023. In alignment with these airdrop procedures, on April 1, Ripple also unlocked 1 billion XRP from its escrow account.

Examining the consequences of the ongoing SEC lawsuit against Ripple, CryptoLaw founder John Deaton recently mentioned four potential outcomes that could result in favor of the company. The first is a full win by Ripple with the judge dismissing the case, the second is a partial win such as the judge clarifying that XRP is not a security and that ongoing and secondary sales are permissible, the third is a jury trial and the fourth is the judge granting the SEC summary judgment and making it clear that her decision has no bearing on the outcome of secondary sales. At the time of writing, XRP was trading at a rate of $0.514 and recorded a 24-hour increase of 2.01%. Additionally, XRP saw a 7-day increase of 11.78%.
