Shiba Inu is becoming one of the most popular cryptocurrencies around and the community is working hard to further spread its use and infrastructure. Recently, a prominent Shiba Inu influencer called Mazrael challenged Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the CEO and founder of Binance, to a duel on Shiba Eternity, the official game of the 16th-largest cryptocurrency. The high-stakes challenge was accompanied with an implicit request that CZ list Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) or Doge Killer (LEASH) on the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange if he loses the duel. While the tweet was light-hearted, it followed a Change.org petition from the Shiba Inu community calling for Binance to list BONE.

In a move that surprised the crypto community, Binance recently added two meme-based cryptocurrencies, Pepe (PEPE) and Floki Inu (FLOKI), to its platform which followed CZ’s positive comments about Shiba Inu as well as its large trading volume. Despite the hopes of many Shiba Inu supporters, BONE and LEASH were not chosen to be given an opportunity on the Binance platform.

Overall, Shiba Inu is stamping its presence in the cryptocurrency industry and it will be interesting to see how the Binance-Shiba Inu relationship develops. It appears the Shiba Inu community is looking for the meme-based cryptocurrency to gain more recognition and partnerships, and Binance appears to be their top target. As for now, it seems the Binance-Shiba Inu relationship is built more upon a friendly rivalry than a strong collaboration.

In the end, what the Shiba Inu community proposes is certainly one way to get the meme-cryptocurrency more attention, but whether it will work remains to be seen. While CZ has yet to answer the Shiba Eternity duel challenge, it will certainly be exciting to see whether it results in Binance listing BONE or LEASH.
