The prediction that Stellar token XLM would outperform its rival XRP did not come true as XLM's prices fell and lost over 10% against XRP. Although XRP is currently stronger in blockchain payments, there is still speculation that XLM could show strength against its rival. XLM had gained 20% in the first week of January, and the recent drop only wiped out half of that growth, suggesting a healthy correction. While the current situation favors XRP, XLM should not be dismissed.
