The CEO of SBI Holdings, Yoshitaka Kitao, criticized Japan's prime minister, Shigeru Ishiba, over the country's high crypto tax rates. Kitao wants to implement a separate 20% taxation system for digital assets, similar to stocks. He accused Ishiba of being the only one not convinced about lowering rates. Kitao also claimed that the ruling party is being manipulated by opposition party leader Yuichiro Tamaki. Kitao, who is involved with Ripple and XRP, has become an influential figure in Japanese finance and the crypto industry.
