Tech expert slams Ethereum design as ‘fundamentally broken’

Evan Cheng, the CEO of Mysten Labs and a former Apple employee, criticized the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), calling it a "fundamentally broken" design. He suggested that the only solution would be to "shoot it in the head and start over." Cheng explained that the EVM design is flawed and pointed to issues with decentralization and control of validating power. Other experts, including Kyle Samani of Multicoin Capital, have also noted flaws in Ethereum's design. Cheng's comments have sparked a discussion about the need to move beyond outdated designs and adopt better technologies.
