Swiss AMINA Bank removes custody fees for USDC to woo stablecoin holders

Swiss bank AMINA Bank, formerly known as SEBA Bank, has eliminated custody fees for its clients who hold USD Coin (USDC), a stablecoin. The bank hopes that by waiving the fees and providing rewards, it can attract more users of stablecoins. AMINA Bank also plans to include Circle's euro-backed stablecoin, EURC, in the program. Clients holding USDC will receive quarterly rewards directly from the bank. Experts predict that stablecoins will see increased adoption and use for real-world applications such as instant payments by 2025.
