Argentina’s corporate giants add 1300 Bitcoins in their portfolios – The next El Salvador?

Argentina's leading companies, including Bitfarms, Mercado Libre, and Globant, collectively hold 1,300 Bitcoins in their portfolios. Analysts predict that Argentina may follow in the footsteps of El Salvador and embrace crypto adoption. Bitfarms is the largest holder with 870 BTC and has transitioned from an international Bitcoin miner to a North American energy and computing enterprise. Mercado Libre, a major e-commerce giant in Latin America, owns 412 Bitcoins in its custody, but its Chief Investment Officer clarified that the funds belong to users of its crypto wallets. Globant, an IT and software engineering firm, holds 15 BTC in reserves. Argentine officials have met with representatives from El Salvador to share experiences and regulatory frameworks related to cryptocurrency adoption. Argentina's National Securities Commission praised El Salvador's leadership in crypto regulations and expressed interest in expanding its own crypto initiatives. The partnership between the two countries aims to foster knowledge exchange and promote innovation in the digital asset sector.
