Sonic, a gaming-focused Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), and Injective, a Layer 1 network, have partnered to develop the world's first cross-chain Smart Agent platform. The collaboration will establish a dedicated Solana Virtual Machine grid that connects Sonic and Injective ecosystems, enabling AI agents developed on this grid to integrate seamlessly into the Injective ecosystem. Key innovations include the deployment of a Solana-based rollup for direct communication between the two networks, a bidirectional bridge for asset transfers, and a unified developer experience. The Smart Agent Hub aims to revolutionize decentralized application development by providing tools for creating, managing, and monetizing AI agents. The market for AI agents is growing rapidly, and the integration of the Smart Agent Hub is expected to roll out in phases, with a testnet deployment anticipated in Q1 2025. The project envisions AI agents rivaling DeFi, DePIN, NFTs, and gaming in size and value, positioning the Smart Agent Hub as a central part of Solana's decentralized infrastructure.
