The Dutch entrepreneur has written an open letter to the Dutch government urging them to establish a National Bitcoin Reserve. The proposal suggests reallocating a portion of the gold reserve to buy Bitcoin, highlighting BTC's potential to help economic stability and sovereignty. It also references recognition of BTC's value by influential figures such as U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and asset manager BlackRock, who see it as a competitor to gold and a global financial alternative. Establishing a BTC reserve could position the Netherlands alongside other European countries incorporating digital currency into their financial systems.
