Ripple has launched a new stablecoin called RLUSD, which aims to set a new benchmark in the stablecoin market. Ripple President Monica Long explained that trust, compliance, and utility are critical in the stablecoin market. RLUSD is issued on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, allowing it to be used in multiple ecosystems. It is built with regulatory compliance and is one of the few stablecoins issued under a New York Trust Company Charter, ensuring strict oversight and regulation. The stablecoin has received positive reception with significant minting and volume reported within 24 hours of its launch.
