Hoskinson Denies XRP and HBAR Inclusion in Trump’s Crypto Reserve Plan

Claims that the Trump administration plans to include XRP and Hedera in a national strategic crypto reserve have been denied by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. The rumors, shared by a Hedera supporter, suggested that the US would make these digital assets part of its reserve alongside Bitcoin, in an effort to become the "crypto capital" of the world. Hoskinson clarified that only Bitcoin would be considered for the reserve and criticized the spread of misinformation, suggesting that it may have originated from parties promoting XRP and Hedera. The crypto community had mixed reactions, with some praising Hoskinson for debunking the false information and others accusing him of bias against altcoins. BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes also dismissed the feasibility of a US Bitcoin reserve, citing political priorities. Hayes further predicted increased market volatility in the lead-up to Trump's inauguration.
