Ex-Paxful CEO’s Bitcoin marketplace Noones exploited for nearly $8m, ZachXBT says
Peer-to-peer marketplace Noones, founded by Paxful's ex-CEO Ray Youssef, has potentially been hacked, resulting in the loss of around $7.9 million. The suspicious outflows occurred in early January and affected the platform's hot wallets on Ethereum, TRON, Solana, and BNB Chain. The stolen funds were laundered through Tornado Cash, a popular crypto mixer, to obscure their origin. Noones had announced maintenance around the same time as the hack, but no official statement has been made regarding the security incident. Noones was launched in 2023 as a community-driven alternative to Paxful, aiming to provide easier access to cryptocurrencies and digital payments.
