BRICS Set to Welcome 9 Nations as Partners—Russia Hints 4 More to Join Soon

BRICS, an association of five major emerging economies (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), will be expanding in 2025 with the addition of nine new partner states. These countries, including Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan, among others, have confirmed their readiness to become BRICS partner countries. Additionally, Eritrea has expressed interest in engaging with BRICS. As partner countries, these nations will be invited to key meetings and events of the bloc, and Russia, as the current presidency of BRICS, has been working to integrate the new members into the organization's framework.
