BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, along with other Bitcoin funds, experienced significant outflows totaling $188.7 million on Christmas Eve. This is part of a larger trend that has seen Bitcoin funds lose $1.5 billion over a four-day period. On the other hand, Ethereum funds saw inflows of $53.6 million and $130.8 million on consecutive days, indicating rising interest in altcoins. Analysts speculate that Ether may outperform Bitcoin in January 2025 based on the strength of the ETH/BTC ratio. Bitcoin's price recently rallied to $98,014, but trading volume has decreased by 24%, leading to caution among traders. With year-end expiry approaching, traders remain wary of the market.
