Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen criticized U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler, calling him the worst public servant in the country. Larsen was named as an individual defendant in an SEC lawsuit alongside Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, accusing them of aiding securities law violations. Gensler, who was initially seen as crypto-savvy, pursued an aggressive regulation strategy, targeting prominent crypto firms. Larsen previously accused Gensler of hindering cryptocurrency progress in the U.S. and criticized the SEC for failing to prevent the FTX fiasco.
