CandleFocus Shiba Inu Has Added 840K Addresses Over the Past Year

The Shiba Inu ecosystem has experienced significant growth in the number of addresses, with about 840,000 addresses added over the past year. Despite the mixed performance of the meme coin in 2024, it came close to reclaiming its all-time high. However, it eventually dropped below the psychological level of $0.00002 and is currently battling bearish forces at the $0.000015 region. On-chain data shows that Shiba Inu has seen continuous address growth, with a total of 4.64 million addresses as of Feb. 19, 2025. Most of the increase in addresses came from those with zero balances, but there was still a notable increase in accounts with balances. The number of long-term holders, as well as those holding for shorter periods of time, has also risen over the past year. This indicates widespread confidence in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, despite the drop in price in 2024.
