Wells Fargo has suffered a data breach, where an employee at the banking giant accessed and used customer information for fraudulent activities. The breach occurred between May 2022 and March 2023, potentially exposing personal details, including name, address, date of birth, social security number, and bank account and credit/debit card numbers. The bank has started notifying affected customers and assures them that measures are being taken to monitor their accounts and enhance security. This is not the first breach at Wells Fargo, as a similar incident occurred in April, prompting investigations and the possibility of a class action lawsuit.
