Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has received a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) license in the European Union. They obtained this license by acquiring a Cypriot Investment Firm that had already received approval from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). With this approval, Kraken can now offer regulated crypto derivatives products to advanced traders in specific EU markets.
