CandleFocus XRP Ledger Ethereum Sidechain Welcomes Major Release: Details

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) sidechain has released version v4.0.0, which includes important changes, features, and improvements for the launch of the XRPL EVM network. This release introduces minting and burning capabilities for managing the native XRP token through the Axelar bridge, enhancing flexibility in token management. The upgrade also includes upgraded dependencies, such as the Cosmos SDK and Evmos, for improved performance and stability. The XRPL EVM Sidechain aims to enhance smart contract capabilities in the XRP Ledger ecosystem and is expected to launch in the coming months, providing EVM compatibility to the XRP community. The sidechain will also utilize Axelar as a bridge, allowing for transactions between the XRPL EVM Sidechain, XRP Ledger, and other blockchains. This upgrade is a crucial step towards the launch of the XRPL EVM network.
