According to research by Phoenix Group, Solana, TRON, and NEAR are the top three decentralized ledgers with the most rapid transaction speed worldwide. Solana leads with an average of 4113 transactions per second (TPS), followed by TRON with 612 TPS, and NEAR with 224 TPS. In comparison, Ethereum and Bitcoin have significantly lower TPS at 14 and 7.4 respectively. The higher TPS of these blockchains allows for more effective operation of web3 projects, including Dapps, DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and the metaverse. As on-chain activity continues to rise, the importance of fast transaction speeds for serving the needs of web3 projects becomes increasingly significant.
