World's Popularity Soars in Argentina: Over 2.2 Million Registered Users

World, a biometric ID project, has gained significant popularity in Argentina with over 2.2 million registered users, despite facing backlash from authorities. The project plans to expand further in the country by introducing home-based iris scanning options next year. However, World has also faced criticism and regulatory oversight, resulting in a $200,000 fine. Despite this, the company has made Argentina a key part of its Latin American deployment, expanding its presence and educating the public on its objectives. World has recently announced a pilot program in partnership with delivery company Rappi to bring orbs (scanning machines) to homes in Argentina. However, this has caused concerns in Chile over data privacy. World has also launched operations in Brazil, opening multiple locations in São Paulo.
