Cryptocurrency may make an appearance in Tuesday night's U.S. presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, according to prediction markets. Shares for "crypto/Bitcoin" on Polymarket's prediction market were trading at 17 cents, indicating a 17% chance that Trump will mention cryptocurrencies. However, topics like "abortion" have a higher likelihood of being mentioned. Trump has actively courted crypto voters and donations, while Harris has a slimmer chance of mentioning crypto. Prediction markets have gained popularity for their forecasting abilities, with Polymarket experiencing a surge in election betting. Another prediction market, Manifold, ranks "bitcoin" among the bottom for likely words to be mentioned in the debate.
