SEC accidentally uploads Gary Gensler’s draft speech

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accidentally uploaded Gary Gensler's draft speech on the "public good of disclosure," which included suggested tweaks and notes. The speech, intended for the Peterson Institute for International Economics, was posted on the SEC's website and contained internal comments showing edits and cuts to the speech. The edits included suggestions to reassure markets, acknowledge constructive dialogue with regulators, and emphasize the importance of robust disclosures. There were at least 44 edits in the speech before the link was taken down. This is not the first blunder from the SEC, as their Twitter account was hacked earlier this year, posting a fake Bitcoin ETF approval.
