Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms, Inc. has acquired an additional 5,117 Bitcoins, bringing their total holdings to 16,728 Bitcoins, valued at $1.68 billion. The acquisition was made with the net proceeds from a recent $525 million convertible bond offering. Riot Platforms aims to solidify its position as a leader in the Bitcoin mining industry and demonstrates confidence in Bitcoin's long-term value. This follows MicroStrategy's acquisition of 21,550 Bitcoins for $2.1 billion, bringing their total holdings to 423.650 Bitcoins valued at $41.5 billion.
