Meme project hacked after Telegram chat with founder, impersonating Jupiter DEX

Chill Drone (CHONE), a cryptocurrency token based on the drone meme, successfully launched and began trading despite facing a hacking incident. The team behind CHONE encountered a common crypto scam while trying to verify the token through Jupiter. They reached out to Jupiter DEX aggregator for verification but had to wait for the process to be completed. Meanwhile, CHONE faced attempted scams through its Telegram channel and became a target for copycats. A hacker posing as a Jupiter developer contacted the Chill Drone team and convinced them to connect their main team wallet to a malicious link, resulting in the draining of funds. The team injected personal funds to stabilize the asset and repair the reputation with the community. The hacked wallet was created specifically to drain CHONE tokens. Despite the setback, CHONE is listed on CoinGecko and the team plans to continue developing the asset while investigating the hack. The hacker's wallet retained USDC funds, and the team will take steps to prevent further impersonation attempts.
