The SEC has taken steps to delay its decisions on several proposed rule changes from different companies concerning their respective Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs. Some of the companies that have applied to launch a Bitcoin ETF include Franklin Templeton, ARK, BlackRock, and WisdomTree. The SEC also delayed decisions on Hashdex's Ethereum ETF proposed rule change and Grayscale's spot ether ETF rule change proposal. Despite the delays, BlackRock has recently filed an S-1 for its spot ether ETF, more evidently displaying its interest in participating in the cryptocurrency market. The SEC expects to announce approval, rejection, or further proceedings by January 1, 2024.
