Recent research has disclosed a marked decrease in the activity of XRP Ledger whales, compared to the patterns observed in the two years preceding. Nevertheless, large holders of XRP seem to have grown their holdings regardless. An analysis conducted by Santiment uncovered that across wallets burying anywhere from 100,000 to 100 million XRP, the total holdings has grown from $7.16 billion to $7.89 billion over the period of an year. This implies that while an engineer in whale activity is evident, there still prevail a strong coalescence of XRP amounts in few wallets. Although this might allude to the potentiality of centralized control over XRP Ledger, sizable movements amongst higher-end wallets are still taking place. Two such transfers happened in the recent past with 30.3 million XRP and 50 million XRP, worth $15.2 million and $24.9 million, respectively- shuffling to and from Bitstamp and CryptoCom.

However, a minor influence of these transfers proportionate to the currency's price can be seen. At the time of deputy, XRP is nearly at a rate of $0.500928, having a market cap at $26.75 billion, and a 24 hour trading volume at $823.3 million. It remains to be seen how further global whale sports will dictate the future of XRP Ledger.
