Canada's Security Intelligence Service has expressed concerns about the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated deepfakes to conduct disinformation campaigns in the internet. The most relevant example of this was the fabricated video of Elon Musk to target crypto investors with unrealistic returns. The agency has established potential risks of AI such as privacy violation, social manipulation and bias. They've recommended to collaborate amongst governments, allies and industry experts to regulate a responsible management of information. To tackle this, the G7 countries have agreed upon an AI code of conduct which includes 11 points that look to promote safety and security of AI worldwide. The G7 primarily consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, United States and the European Union.
