Hamster Kombat launched the trading of its HMSTR token on major exchanges but disappointed many in the crypto community with its airdrop. Participants were disqualified and influencers seemed to benefit from last-minute rule changes. The airdrop was delayed, and then participants were informed that they would only receive 88.75% of their tokens, with the remaining 11.25% delayed until July 2025. The HMSTR token debuted at $0.01 but quickly dropped in value. Many participants received only a small amount of tokens despite time spent on the game, and selling them was difficult due to minimum transaction values on some exchanges. Technical issues with the Telegram wallet further compounded frustrations.
