Semler Scientific has announced the purchase of 215 BTC for $17.7 million, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 1,273 tokens worth around $114 million. The average price of the recent purchase was $82,502 per BTC, funded in part by share sales. Semler has achieved a BTC Yield of 37.3% since implementing its bitcoin treasury strategy in Q2 2021. The company has adopted "Bitcoin Yield" as a key performance indicator, influenced by MicroStrategy's definition of how well a company acquires bitcoin in an accretive manner for shareholders. This announcement follows several other corporate bitcoin purchases on the same day. Semler's stock has risen by 2.4% in premarket trading and by 33% since it began buying bitcoin last summer.
