CandleFocus Ripple to unlock 1 billion XRP on December 1 – Should investors be worried?

Ripple is set to unlock $1.60 billion worth of XRP tokens in three transactions on December 1. This accounts for 1.75% of the current circulating supply and 2.61% of XRP tokens locked in escrows under Ripple's control. The tokens will be unlocked from two known wallet addresses owned by Ripple. In November, Ripple re-locked 530 million XRP tokens in escrows that will end by February 2028. Ripple has sold a total of 3.046 billion XRP tokens so far in 2024. Despite the positive price action, each unlock and reserve at Ripple's treasury causes XRP supply to inflate.
