A wallet connected to the defunct cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox has transferred 12,000 Bitcoin, worth over $1 billion, to an unknown address. This comes as Bitcoin reaches $90,000. Additionally, the wallet moved 166,505 Bitcoin, worth approximately $15 million, to its cold wallet, marking the first transfers in months. Mt. Gox still holds over 36,000 Bitcoin, valued at about $3.3 billion. The exchange has extended its repayment deadline to October 2025 and creditors are still waiting for compensation. While past movements from Mt. Gox have affected market sentiment, recent transfers have had minimal impact on Bitcoin prices so far.
