Donald Trump Rant About Immigrants 'Eating the Pets' Didn't Do Much for Conspiracy Meme Coins

During the presidential debate, Donald Trump mentioned a conspiracy theory about immigrants from Haiti eating pets in Springfield, Ohio. The unfounded claim had been circulating on Pump.fun for a few days prior to the debate. Meme coins referencing the conspiracy theory saw their peak hours before Trump mentioned it. However, they ultimately flopped, with the tokens failing to gain significant traction. The Haitian Cats (hCAT) meme coin briefly achieved a market cap of $187,000 but has since fallen 84% from its peak. The TRUMP meme coin also experienced a 13% drop in price during the debate.
