Crypto 2025: the trends and forecasts for the next year

The VP Product and GM of Consumer at Kraken, Mark Greenberg, predicts several trends and forecasts for the crypto landscape in 2025. He believes that cryptocurrencies will become a fundamental part of investment portfolios, with investors opting for crypto accumulation plans to gradually increase their holdings. Greenberg also expects a new generation of banking services based on crypto to emerge, including payment services, high-yield savings accounts, credit cards, and loans. Bitcoin is predicted to continue gaining popularity and be seen as more valuable than gold, serving as a safe haven against inflation. The volatility of cryptocurrencies is expected to decrease as mainstream adoption and greater liquidity make the market less susceptible to price swings. There will likely be real competition among stablecoins, with new ones offering regulatory advantages. Crypto platforms like Kraken will focus on offering medium and long-term accumulation services, with stablecoin yields as the basis. Additionally, as of December 16, 2021, Bitcoin has reached a new all-time high of $106,400 and its market cap has surpassed $2 trillion. A report by Matrixport predicts a target price of $160,000 for Bitcoin in 2025.
