This week, a top-100 web3 altcoin saw a surge in its market cap of 67%. WEMIX, the blockchain gaming platform from South Korean video game developer Wemade, experienced growth in line with the update of its wallet, a partnership with Dubai International Financial Centre’s Innovation Hub, and the relisting of its token on a Korean exchange. The partnership with DFIHub aims to support developers, studios and entrepreneurs by raising a $100 million web3 gaming fund. The wallet update saw enhanced features, aiming to improve user experience. The token was relisted by Korbit, a South Korean exchange, which had pulled support for the token in November 2022 due to insufficient or incorrect information given to investors.

While WEMIX has experienced increased popularity this week, it remains more than 84% down from its all-time high of $24.71 which it reached in November 2021. Despite this, it marks a positive step in the growing web3 sector.
